Hopuna garden   calm water for a wild garden

Nested on the limestone slopes of a small village of Yvelines in France, this garden is the one of my childhood.

He served as a field of experience for the knowledge of plants, as well for the aestheticism of their associations as for the sustainability of their cohabitation.

He took the name of Hopuna in the 1990s, following several journeys in Polynesia.

Hopuna in Tahitian is an evocation of the water and its outlines: accumulation of water calms down, clear and deep, rocks along the shores between which a crystal clear water is retained.

This name synthesizes what motivates me in the creation of garden: search for the beneficial peace of the Polynesian lagoons, with the attempt to transpose his colors, his brightness, and his thick clouds.
